Hosur airport not recommended to prioritise defence projects of national importance, says Civil Aviation Minister
Union Minister for Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu stated that the Hosur airport project proposal from Tamil Nadu has been rejected to prioritize defense projects by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) Airport. The proposal was circulated to various agencies, including the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for comments. The Tamil Nadu government requested airspace relaxation in June but was denied, leading to a subsequent request in January which also failed.
