PM’s absence from Lok Sabha not due to any threat from us, it was an act of fear: Congress women MPs write to Speaker Birla
Women MPs from the Indian National Congress wrote to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, accusing him of being pressured by the ruling party and alleging that his decision to prevent Prime Minister Narendra Modi from speaking in the Lok Sabha was a result of this pressure. The letter, signed by six MPs including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, states that the women MPs have been targeted for their consistent opposition to the Prime Minister's government and demanded justice regarding the suspension of eight members of Parliament from the INDIA alliance. The MPs also accused Speaker Birla of being a "deliberate" decision-maker in matters related to the Lok Sabha.
