Will be easy to purchase goods valued much more than $500 billion from U.S.: Goyal

India's Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal stated that the country is confident in purchasing $500 billion worth of goods from the United States over the next five years, exceeding previous import levels. He highlighted the demand for various products like aircraft, technology, and energy resources, citing examples such as large investments in data centers and ongoing orders for Boeing aircraft. Goyal emphasized that India's competitive advantage with lower tariffs compared to other nations will further boost trade between the two countries. He also noted that safeguards are in place to protect domestic industries from potential surges in imports.
