Cochin Cancer Research Centre to be inaugurated on February 9

Cochin Cancer Research Centre (CCRC), a new building complex costing ₹449 crore, will be inaugurated on Monday by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The facility, located within the Kalamassery Medical College campus in central Kerala, will provide advanced cancer care and research. The CCRC features nine buildings with 6.3 lakh square feet of built-up area, including 12 fully equipped operation theatres for complex surgeries and a dedicated space for robotic procedures. It also houses a 10,000 square foot research area equipped with AI-led technologies and will be powered by solar energy to achieve carbon neutrality. The CCRC is expected to significantly improve cancer care access in central Kerala.
