Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh laid the foundation stone for the Amaravati Quantum Valley (AQV), a project aimed at positioning India as a global leader in quantum technology. The AQV, with its focus on research spanning defense, healthcare, energy, finance, and climate modeling, will be built on a unique land pooling model involving farmers. Mr. Naidu expressed confidence that the AQV would become a hub for quantum designs, products, and intellectual property, surpassing previous technological advancements like Hitec City in Hyderabad. Mr. Singh highlighted the government's commitment to the National Quantum Mission with an allocation of ₹6,000 crore.
