Owaisi urges Muslims to cultivate political leadership ahead of Telangana polls

Asaduddin Owaisi, president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), urged Muslims in India to develop their own political leadership during a public meeting in Jagtial, Telangana. He criticized what he perceived as an attempt to confine Muslims to voting and argued that they are citizens with rights. He also called on managing committees of masjids to speak about the scheduled special intensive revision exercise, ensuring no valid Muslim's name is removed.
