Privileges Committee toprobe Punjab Police role in ‘doctored’ video row

Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta referred the registration of an FIR by Punjab Police and subsequent actions to the Committee of Privileges, citing a prima facie case of breach of privilege. The committee will examine the conduct of officials from Punjab Police, including the Director General of Police, Commissioner of Police, and Additional Chief Secretary (Home). The Speaker's decision follows allegations that an edited video of AAP leader Atishi was shared by Kapil Mishra, a Delhi Cabinet Minister, sparking a political war of words between the AAP and the BJP. The committee has been instructed to submit its report to the House.
