
Centre says NSA affords it power to shift Wangchuk to Rajasthan; he was treated fairly
The Centre informed the Supreme Court that it has authority to move climate activist Sonam Wangchuk from his current detention location in Ladakh to Rajasthan under provisions of the National Security Act (NSA). The Solicitor General, Tushar Mehta, argued that this transfer was justified by material against Wangchuk and adhered to procedural safeguards within the NSA. The court is currently reviewing the case.
