The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has criticized the Union Budget 2026-27 for neglecting Telangana, accusing both the Congress and BJP of failing to secure adequate funding for the state. BRS leaders, including K.T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao, allege that despite repeated visits by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to New Delhi, no financial gains have materialized. They also point out a lack of allocations for key projects like the Regional Ring Road and Hyderabad Metro Rail expansion, as well as the absence of funding for institutions such as IIMs and Kendriya Vidyalayas.
