Budget 2026: Government to provide tax holiday for foreign companies, economy, union budget 2026
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman proposed a tax holiday for foreign companies providing cloud services to customers globally using data centers in India until 2047. The tax break is contingent on the companies offering these services through an Indian reseller entity and meeting certain conditions. Ms. Sitharaman also announced plans for the establishment of a National Institute of Hospitality, a National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS-2), and development of key turtle nesting sites in Odisha, Karnataka, and Kerala.
