Child rights panel in Kerala to host conclave on child protection laws
Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights will host a three-day conclave on child protection laws in Thiruvananthapuram from February 3 to 5. The event, aimed at strengthening the legal and social framework for a child-centric environment, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, with Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty as chief guest and Commission chairperson K.V. Manoj Kumar present. Nearly 350 stakeholders, including educationists, legal experts, local self-government representatives, and NGOs, are expected to participate in discussions on key legislations, including the POCSO Act and RTE Act, alongside contemporary issues like AI's impact on teaching methodologies and mental health challenges faced by children in the digital era.
