Congress not against high-speed rail project, says Satheesan
V.D. Satheesan, leader of the Opposition, stated that his party and the United Democratic Front (UDF) are not opposed to a high-speed rail project in Kerala if it is environmentally sustainable and financially viable for the state. He emphasized the need for proper environmental studies and financial feasibility before any such project is implemented. Mr. Satheesan also acknowledged that his party would support any good project, including one proposed by E. Sreedharan, a technocrat who advocates for high-speed rail in Kerala.
