Diaspora key to Kerala’s development: Chief Minister

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan emphasized the importance of integrating Kerala's expatriate population into its development process, calling for a "Global Kerala" vision. He highlighted the need for practical policy measures to engage with the diaspora, citing China's "Chunhui Programme" as an example. The fifth Loka Kerala Sabha saw the presentation of 28 proposals from previous sessions, including initiatives focused on economic reintegration, entrepreneurship, and health insurance for expatriates. Speaker A.N. Shamseer praised the forum's role in bringing expatriates into the mainstream of Kerala's democratic process.
