
Chief Minister to inaugurate 88 houses for Sri Lankan Tamils in Tirupattur next week
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will virtually inaugurate 88 free houses for Sri Lankan Tamils living in rehabilitation camps near Ambur town in Tirupattur district. The District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), which executed the project, has completed construction and is ready to hand over the houses by the end of January. The initiative aims to provide housing solutions for 160 beneficiaries in two phases, with the remaining 88 receiving their homes by the end of January. The new houses, costing an average of ₹8.10 lakh each, include living spaces, attached bathrooms, kitchens, and basic utilities like water connections and power supply.
