
Padma awards 2026: Actor Dharmendra, former Kerala CM Achuthanandan get Padma Vibhushan posthumously
V.S. Achuthanandan and Dharmendra were posthumously awarded the second-highest civilian honor, Padma Vibhushan, by the government for 2026. The awards were announced on Republic Day eve alongside 131 other Padma awards, including five Padma Vibhushan, 13 Padma Bhushan, and 113 Padma Shri. KT Thomas, N Rajam, P Narayanan, and Alka Yagnik received Padma Vibhushan, while Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Satish Shah, Piyush Pandey, and Shibu Soren were awarded Padma Bhushan. The list also included posthumous awards for Satish Shah and several other individuals.
