Palaniswami flays Stalin over bombs being thrown on police vehicle near Perambalur
Edappadi K. Palaniswami, general secretary of the AIADMK, criticized Chief Minister M.K. Stalin for failing to allow police to function freely after unidentified individuals threw country bombs at a police vehicle on the Tiruchi-Chennai National Highway near Perambalur toll gate. The incident, which resulted in four police personnel being injured while transporting a history-sheeter from Madurai for interrogation, has led Palaniswami to claim that law and order in Tamil Nadu is deteriorating and those who commit crimes have no fear of the police or government. T.T.V. Dhinakaran, general secretary of the AMMK, called for swift action to apprehend those responsible and ensure adequate protection for police personnel.
