Chief Minister Stalin opposes NEET for Allied and Health Care Courses

M.K. Stalin, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, criticized the National Commission for Allied and Health Care Professions (NCAHP)'s decision to mandate the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) courses. He argued that this move is "hasty" and "ad hoc," with detrimental consequences, and called for its immediate withdrawal. Stalin emphasized that Tamil Nadu opposes NEET for MBBS admissions and warned that extending it to AHCs would exacerbate existing issues like financial burden on students and families.
