DMK, the ‘preferred destination’ for many former AIADMK functionaries, compared to TVK
Several former members of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) have recently joined the fledgling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), including former ministers, legislators, and officials. S.V.S.P. Manickaraja, a former deputy general secretary of the Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK), was expelled from the party and joined the DMK alongside Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. While some former AIADMK members cite the ruling party's status as a factor in their decision, others argue that the TVK is attracting disillusioned workers due to its leader's perceived qualities and commitment to people-centric policies.
