Minister claims record water transfer from Handri-Neeva project

The Water Resources Department has achieved a new record in water transfer to the Rayalaseema region through the Handri-Neeva project, exceeding its design capacity for the first time. Nimmala Ramanaidu, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and other officials celebrated the achievement, attributing it to increased pumping capacity from one to 12 pumps and expedited canal widening works. The goal is to ensure a steady water supply to drought-prone areas of Rayalaseema.
