PM Modi flags off four new trains in Kerala, launches SVANidhi Credit Card
Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off three new Amrit Bharat Express trains and a passenger train service for Kerala in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday. The event included the departure of the Thiruvananthapuram-Tambaram, Nagercoil-Mangaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram-Charlappalli Amrit Bharat Expresses from their respective stations, as well as the Thrissur-Guruvayur Passenger Train. Union Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna and Union Minister of State for Tourism Suresh Gopi attended the function at Thiruvananthapuram North and Thrissur railway stations respectively. The Prime Minister also launched the PM SVANidhi Credit Card, a financial inclusion initiative for street vendors, and laid the foundation stone for a CSIR-NIIST Innovation Hub, a state-of-the-art radiosurgery center, and a new head post office in Thiruvananthapuram.
