M.K. Following the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly's unanimous adoption of a resolution rejecting the Governor's actions, Stalin stated that the Governor violated the Constitution by not reading the speech in its entirety and expressed his disappointment with the Governor's conduct. The DMK leader also criticized the Governor for acting against the wishes of the people and the elected representatives of the state.
