Demand for CBI probe into Sabarimala gold theft

Hindu organisations, including the Sabarimala Karma Samithi and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), organized a demonstration in front of the Kerala Secretariat demanding a CBI investigation into the alleged theft from the Sabarimala temple. The protesters accused the state government and Devaswom administration of complicity and demanded that control over temples be relinquished. They argued that the case had inter-state ramifications and that the ongoing SIT probe was inadequate.
