Kerala SIR: KPCC delegation meets Kerala CEO, says SIR a “harrowing and vexing” experience for voters

The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has requested the Election Commission of India (EC) to avoid summoning voters for personal hearings under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in cases with "logical discrepancies" and non-mapping issues. The KPCC delegation, led by MLAs Mathew Kuzhalnadan, P.C. Vishnunadh, and M. Vincent, expressed concerns that the SIR has placed many genuine voters at risk of exclusion from the electoral rolls. They also demanded an extension of new enrolments under SIR until February 14th and the provision of facilities for enrolment and corrections through panchayat and village offices to ensure a smoother process.
