Pinarayi Vijayan attributes Kerala’s prevailing secular harmony to efforts of LDF govt. during last decade

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan asserted that the Kerala government successfully maintained secular harmony despite nationwide communal tensions, highlighting past instances of violence and emphasizing the state's commitment to inclusive governance. He also criticized the portrayal of minority communities as second-class citizens in other parts of the country, while praising the LDF government for upholding secular principles through its work with statutory bodies like the Haj committee and Minority Commission. Leader of Opposition V.D. Satheesan called for unity against communalism, criticizing those who preach secularism publicly but support divisive rhetoric. Sunni leader Kanthapuram A.P. Aboobacker Musliyar stressed that the event was not a political platform and warned against exploiting community sentiments for electoral gains.
