Tamil Nadu Congress leaders to meet AICC in Delhi today to discuss demand for power-sharing in the State
All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, will meet with Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) leaders in New Delhi on Saturday to discuss power-sharing arrangements with the DMK ahead of the upcoming Assembly election. TNCC leaders claim the DMK is willing to give more seats than the 25 allotted in 2021, but has ruled out sharing power. They argue that their participation in the alliance is crucial for mobilizing Scheduled Caste/Tribe and minority votes within the INDIA bloc, and that they are not consulted on important state issues.
