AMMK denies reports of its leader Dhinakaran being under “pressure” on alliance

The Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) stated that its founder-general secretary, T.T.V. Dhinakaran, was not under pressure regarding an alliance for the upcoming Assembly election. The party clarified that after a general council meeting in Thanjavur on January 5th, Dhinakaran had no public events planned due to personal commitments and the Pongal festival. He will announce the party's position at an appropriate time.
