Polavaram–Nallamala Sagar project will not harm Telangana: Nimmala
Nimmala Ramanaidu, Water Resources Minister of Andhra Pradesh, stated that the Polavaram–Nallamala Sagar link project would not harm Telangana. He appealed for cooperation, emphasizing that the project aimed to utilize surplus Godavari water and did not threaten downstream or upstream interests. He noted that over 1,53,000 TMC of floodwaters have been lost into the sea annually and urged Telangana to dispel misconceptions and cooperate with Andhra Pradesh's request for approval.
