K.T. Rama Rao, working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), criticized A. Revanth Reddy, the Chief Minister of Telangana, for failing to fulfill pre-election promises made to various sections of society. He highlighted the lack of job creation and fulfillment of other pledges despite a 24-month period in power. Rama Rao also addressed defections by BRS MLAs to the ruling Congress party, questioning their claims while simultaneously seeking development funds. He emphasized that the BJP would not become a viable alternative to the Congress in Telangana due to its inconsistent stance on inter-state issues.
