
PM Modi flags off phase-II stretch of Ahmedabad–Gandhinagar Metro
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the remaining Phase-II stretch of the Ahmedabad–Gandhinagar Metro project on Sunday, January 11, 2025. The event was attended by Governor Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi. The Prime Minister interacted with citizens at the Mahatma Mandir Metro station, which witnessed a festive atmosphere. Mr. Patel and Mr. Sanghavi traveled on the Phase-II route in Gandhinagar, gathering feedback from commuters and students. The project, inaugurated in October 2022, has seen daily ridership increase by nearly 60% since its completion of Phase I and II.
