Announce separate municipal corporation for Secunderabad: Srinivas Yadav to govt.

T. Srinivas Yadav, former Minister and Sanathnagar MLA, warned of intensified agitation for a separate Secunderabad municipal corporation, including an indefinite hunger strike if necessary. He accused the Congress government of undermining the city's historic identity and announced a peaceful rally on January 17th with around 10,000 participants to pressure the government. Leaders from various political parties, trade unions, journalists’ bodies, caste organizations, and senior citizens’ associations expressed solidarity.
