Kozhikode Corporation to elect standing committee chairpersons on Jan. 13

Kozhikode Corporation council members will elect their standing committee chairpersons on January 13, 2026. The LDF secured a majority in six of the eight committees while the UDF holds a majority in only one and has equal representation with the BJP in another. The election was necessary due to a lack of agreement among parties for a sharing arrangement.
