Tamil Nadu unveils India’s first deep tech start-up policy at UmagineTN 2026
The Tamil Nadu government has unveiled India's first dedicated Deep Tech Policy, aiming to position the state as a premier deep tech hub. The policy, called the Tamil Nadu Deep Tech Startup Policy 2025-2026 (TNDTSP), was released by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and will be implemented through the iTNT Hub. The goal is to support 100 deep tech start-ups, attract ₹100 crore in investments, and facilitate technology transfer deals. The policy also aims to train over 10,000 individuals in deep tech skills and award 10 research fellowships.
