D.K. Shivakumar, Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, urged the Opposition to pressure the Centre for faster implementation of irrigation projects in the state. Shivakumar expressed frustration over lack of cooperation from the Centre, citing the unfulfilled grant for the Upper Bhadra project during former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai's tenure. He called on the Prime Minister to address the issue and urged the Centre to issue a Gazette notification for the Upper Krishna project.
