BJP local leaders resolve to go it alone in local bodies polls in Mandya

BJP leaders in Mandya have decided to contest the upcoming local body elections independently, despite previous alliance with the JD(S). The decision was made after a meeting of the district core committee and follows H.D. Deve Gowda's statement that the JD(S) would not ally with the BJP for the local body polls. Chidananda, a BJP leader, stated the party unit would organize tours to strengthen its presence ahead of the elections.
