Bearing power dues of ₹4,498 crore a historic step: A.P. Minister
Minister for Energy Gottipati Ravi Kumar announced that the Andhra Pradesh government has reduced electricity tariffs by 13 paise a unit and paid ₹4,498 crore in outstanding dues through a "true-down" mechanism. The government also inaugurated a new substation at Gannavaram airport to improve power supply reliability. The project was supported by the A.P.-Transco and involved a significant investment of ₹30 crore.
