Bengali actor Dev, three family members, get SIR hearing notice from ECI
The Election Commission has issued notices to Deepak Adhikari, also known as Dev, and three members of his family regarding a Special Intensive Review (SIR) hearing. The notice requires them to appear and submit documents establishing their citizenship. Neither Dev nor his family members have responded to the notice. TMC leaders have criticized the move as harassment.
