Congress and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) clashed over a VACB recommendation for a CBI probe into allegations of Foreign Currency Regulation Act (FCRA) violation by V.D. Satheesan, Leader of the Opposition. The government is seeking legal opinion on the matter, while P. Rajeeve dismissed the Congress's attempt to portray Satheesan as a victim of political witch-hunt.
