CM accuses KCR of Kaleshwaram type exploitation in PRLIS too
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy stated that former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and then Irrigation minister T. Harish Rao had no intention of providing water to Palamuru (combined Mahabubnagar) through the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS), alleging they changed the source from Jurala to Srisailam for financial gain. He accused them of mortgaging the Krishna River water rights of Telangana and claimed that the PRLIS project was originally intended to provide irrigation to the uplands of Palamuru. The Chief Minister asserted his government would continue with the project using Srisailam as a source if approved by relevant agencies, or else they would utilize water from Jurala.
