Andaman & Nicobar Islands will be a major contributor to India’s treasury in 10 years: Amit Shah

Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, stated that the Andaman and Nicobar Islands will become a major contributor to India's treasury within 10 years. He highlighted the islands' potential for tourism and blue economy development, emphasizing their strategic importance in the Indo-Pacific region. The visit included a Parliamentary Consultative Committee meeting focused on national security, disaster management, cyber security, and regional infrastructure. Shah also inaugurated various projects worth ₹373 crore, including a road project, a hospital, and a DNA & Cyber Forensic Laboratory.
