Govt. will complete PRLIS, other pending projects in Krishna Basin in 3 years: Uttam in Assembly
N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister of the Congress Government in Telangana, presented a detailed report on water utilization in the Krishna Basin during his presentation to the Assembly. He criticized the previous BRS government for neglecting the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS) and prioritizing the Kaleshwaram project over other irrigation projects. Reddy emphasized that the Congress Government is committed to completing PRLIS with 90 tmc ft of water utilization and other pending projects in the Krishna Basin, including Koilsagar, Bhima, Nettempadu, Kalwakurthy, Narayanpet-Kodangal, Srisailam Left Bank Canal, and Dindi. He also highlighted that Andhra Pradesh's water drawal from Srisailam increased significantly during the BRS government's tenure.
