
GIFT City CEO: Registrations Soar from 100 to 1,250 Since 2016
In an interview with NDTV's Editor-in-Chief Rahul Kanwal, GIFT City CEO Sanjay Kaul said registrations at the financial hub have surged from around 100 to nearly 1,250 since its inception in 2016. Regulations for GIFT City’s international financial services centre were introduced in 2019 and notified in 2020. Kaul highlighted challenges such as attracting skilled talent and developing a vibrant lifestyle, emphasizing the city's potential to become a global financial hub by addressing these issues. He noted that around 300 aircraft have been leased through GIFT City so far, with business growing post regulatory changes. The aim is for GIFT City to be one of the world’s leading international financial services centres.
