UttarakhandCongress leaders alleged on August 20, 2026, that the Election Commission is processing unverified bulk applications to delete voters’ names during the special intensive revision of voter lists. They submitted a memorandum and met Uttarakhand’s Chief Electoral Officer B.V.R.C. Purushottam in Dehradun on August 21. The party claimed thousands of Form 7 objections were filed by individuals not connected with the constituencies, violating procedures. MLA Qazi Muhammed Nizamuddin alleged institutional access was granted to some organization. Mr. Purushottam said he would investigate all allegations.
