CSIR Chief Tours MedTech Hub, Unveils 1-lakh Sqft Incubator for Startups

On Tuesday, Dr. N. Kalaiselvi, Director General of CSIR and Secretary of DSIR, visited AMTZ to witness developments in India’s MedTech ecosystem. She interacted with Dr. Jitendra Sharma and senior officials, toured enterprises like Pyramed and Molbio Diagnostics, and participated in the foundation stone ceremony for SS Medical Systems’ expansion into indigenous manufacturing. The inauguration of Medi Valley, a 1-lakh Sqft incubation platform supported by NITI Aayog, was highlighted, enabling startups to develop prototypes within six months and pursue regulatory clearances within a year. Dr. Kalaiselvi emphasized the importance of replicating AMTZ’s model across India to achieve Viksit Bharat 2047.
