BJP to agitate against GHMC delimitation exercise

The BJP is launching a "people's agitation" against the final list of population and jurisdictions for newly created divisions in GHMC, claiming it lacks clarity and appears politically motivated. Former MLA NVSS Prabhakar, who met with GHMC Commissioner R.V. Kannan to discuss concerns about the list, accused officials of failing to address public objections and maintain geographical integrity. BJP leaders have also raised concerns about the criteria used for increasing divisions, questioning whether population, geographical area, or voter numbers were considered.
