On August 9, 2026, T.G. Mohandas, a Hindutva ideologue and former head of the BJP’s State intellectual cell, was arrested for inflammatory statements about youth protests in Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. In videos, he threatened to impose curfews, shoot protesters, and condone gang rapes. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) distanced itself from his views.
