Gurinderjit Singh Nagra, a former station house officer of Punjab’s Tanda police station, was arrested on Friday in connection with an extortion case linked to Operation Hard Ball, an FBI-led investigation. Nagra had claimed to have solved the murder of AAP worker Balwinder Singh Satkartar but is now accused by US authorities of attempting to extort $400,000 from a family living in the United States. A case has been registered under extortion and corruption provisions.
