Ramesh Mhatre, a Shiv Sena corporator, was granted bail by the Bombay High Court in the doctor assault case and released from jail on Saturday at 4:30 pm. He stared intensely at NDTV reporters before stating he would abide by court decisions and left for Goa. The court ordered fast-tracking of the trial and also granted bail to four others under strict conditions, including staying outside Maharashtra until charges are framed.
