Deadline looming, parties rush to name candidates for Maharashtra civic polls
Congress, VBA, Shiv Sena (UBT), and MNS have finalized their candidate lists for the Maharashtra municipal corporation polls. The Congress has announced an alliance with Prakash Ambedkar’s VBA, releasing a list of 87 candidates. The BJP and Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena are in a partnership, aiming to secure over 207 seats. Meanwhile, the NCP is expected to join forces with Shiv Sena (UBT). The Aam Aadmi Party has also entered the fray, announcing plans to contest all 227 wards.
