‘Is death of 33 BLOs okay?’ MP Kapil Sibal takes dig at government

Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal criticized the government for the deaths of booth-level officers (BLOs) during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise, questioning whether the death of one alleged "infiltrator" is acceptable but not the deaths of BLOs. Union Home Minister Amit Shah previously stated that the government would remove infiltrators from the country and accused some political parties of opposing the SIR exercise to prevent the removal of names of infiltrators from electoral rolls. A BLO in West Bengal, Haradhan Mandal, was found dead on Sunday with a suicide note indicating work pressure as a contributing factor.
