Unnao rape case hearing LIVE: SC to hear CBI's plea against Sengar's bail
High court suspending a life sentence for rape is a serious concern.
The Supreme Court will hear two petitions related to the 2017 Unnao rape case. The CBI, challenging a Delhi High Court order suspending the life sentence of expelled BJP leader Kuldeep Singh Sengar, will argue its case alongside advocates Anjale Patel and Pooja Shilpkar who are also challenging the high court's decision. Sengar is currently serving a 10-year term for the custodial death of the rape survivor’s father in addition to his life sentence.
